LuminOre vs. Sheet Metal
As you know, sheet metal is heavy and expensive. LuminOre bonded to a substrate is extremely lightweight by comparison and will cost you much less money.
Another thing: even under optimum conditions, sheet metal applied to a substrate will never yield a perfect bond. Air gaps are inevitable – resulting in the condensation of moisture inside the structure, which in turn causes corrosion, followed inevitably by mold and rot.
Not a good prognosis for the long-term durability of the job.
Unlike sheet metal, LuminOre Composite Metals form a perfect, airtight seal with the substrate, conforming tightly to even the finest sculptural detail.
